MEXC Restricted Countries 2026 (Full List + Who Accepts You)
Last updated: June 2026
As of 2026 MEXC does not provide services in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Singapore, Mainland China and Hong Kong, plus sanctioned jurisdictions such as North Korea, Iran, Cuba, Sudan and the Russian-controlled regions of Ukraine. MEXC remains available in over 170 other countries. If you are in a restricted country, a regulated local exchange is the fix — not a workaround.

What is changing in 2025–2026
The list has hardened. In 2026 the United Kingdom moved to a full ban rather than just an app-store block, driven by the FCA financial-promotions rules in force since October 2023. The next pressure point is the EU: the MiCA transition deadline of 1 July 2026 forces unlicensed exchanges to either get authorised or offboard EU users, so European availability may change.
Why is MEXC restricted in these countries?
Two reasons cover almost every entry. First, sanctions — MEXC cannot legally serve sanctioned states like North Korea, Iran, Cuba and Sudan. Second, licensing — in strict markets such as the US, UK, Canada and Singapore, regulators require local authorisation to serve retail users, and MEXC has chosen to geo-block those countries rather than pursue the licence.
If you’re in a restricted country, who accepts you?
The right move depends on where you are:
- United States: use a US-regulated exchange such as Coinbase or Kraken. See US alternatives.
- Canada: use a registered Canadian exchange or Kraken. See Canada alternatives.
- Most other countries: Bybit and Bitget onboard many regions MEXC does not — check your country first.
Frequently asked questions
Which countries is MEXC restricted in?
As of 2026 MEXC does not provide services in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Singapore, Mainland China, Hong Kong, and sanctioned jurisdictions including North Korea, Iran, Cuba, Sudan and the Russian-controlled regions of Ukraine. MEXC can update this list at any time, so confirm your country on its official site before signing up.
Is MEXC available in the United States?
No. MEXC does not accept US-based users and blocks US IP addresses and registrations, citing US licensing requirements. US users should use a US-regulated exchange such as Coinbase or Kraken instead.
Is MEXC banned in the UK?
In 2026 the United Kingdom is listed as a fully prohibited jurisdiction for MEXC. The driver is the FCA financial-promotions regime, and MEXC Global Ltd appears on the FCA Warning List rather than holding UK authorisation.
Why does MEXC restrict some countries?
MEXC blocks countries where it is not licensed to operate or where international sanctions apply. Rather than pursue authorisation in strict markets like the US, UK and Singapore, it geo-blocks those users. The EU is the next pressure point under the MiCA transition deadline of 1 July 2026.
