Is Bitget Available in Turkey? (2026)
Not any more — Bitget is absent from the SPK register of operating crypto platforms, and its Turkish entity Bitget Teknoloji AŞ sits on the regulator’s list of platforms winding down. Bitget’s own Terms do not name Turkey, but since Law No. 7518 a platform needs SPK permission to serve Turkish users. Bybit and MEXC are on the operating register.
Is Bitget available in Turkey right now?
Yes. Türkiye is absent from the 28-entry “Prohibited Countries” definition in Bitget’s Terms of Use of 14 August 2026, so Turkish residents can open an account, verify and trade. Bitget treats Turkey as an active market rather than tolerated traffic, publishing Turkish-language onboarding material and local buying guides.
The caveat is licensing rather than access. Being absent from a prohibited list tells you Bitget will onboard you; it does not tell you Bitget holds a Turkish permission.
What Turkey’s crypto law means for you
Turkey moved crypto inside the capital-markets perimeter in 2024 and has been filling in the detail ever since. Three dates matter.
Law No. 7518 amended Capital Markets Law No. 6362 and put crypto asset service providers under the Capital Markets Board (CMB/SPK). Secondary rules followed on 13 March 2025, covering establishment, operating principles, capital, custody and market conduct. Then on 26 March 2026 the CMB extended the timetable for platforms on the transitional operating list to obtain authorisation certificates, choosing not to fix a hard new date until CMB-authorised custody institutions are widely available.
Separately, MASAK — the Financial Crimes Investigation Board — supervises anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorist-financing duties. A CMB permission does not remove MASAK obligations; the two layers apply at the same time.
Is Bitget licensed in Turkey?
Not that we can verify. Bitget’s regulatory-licence page lists jurisdictions where it holds registrations or approvals: Australia, El Salvador, the United Kingdom, Georgia, Argentina, Mexico and Switzerland. Türkiye does not appear. ⚠ Not confirmed — verify the current position against the CMB’s own lists before you rely on it — we are not asserting Bitget is unlicensed, only that we found no published Turkish authorisation.
Practically, this is the same risk profile as Brazil: available today, inside a regime that is still deciding how it treats foreign platforms.

Frequently asked questions
Is Bitget available in Turkey in 2026?
Yes. Türkiye does not appear in the 28-entry prohibited-countries list in Bitget’s Terms of Use of 14 August 2026, so Turkish residents can register, complete KYC and trade. Bitget also publishes Turkish-language onboarding guides.
Is Bitget licensed by the CMB in Turkey?
We could not confirm that Bitget holds a CMB operating permission. Its own regulatory page lists registrations in Australia, El Salvador, the UK, Georgia, Argentina, Mexico and Switzerland — Turkey is not among them. Check the CMB register directly if local authorisation matters to you.
Is crypto legal in Turkey?
Trading is legal and regulated. Law No. 7518, in force since 2 July 2024, amended Capital Markets Law No. 6362 and placed crypto asset service providers under the supervision of the Capital Markets Board. Using crypto to pay for goods and services, however, remains prohibited.
Do I need KYC to use Bitget in Turkey?
Yes. Bitget mandates identity verification for all users to meet anti-money-laundering, counter-terrorist-financing and sanctions obligations. Turkish anti-money-laundering supervision sits with MASAK, which applies separately from the Capital Markets Board licensing regime.
Could Bitget lose access to Turkey?
It is possible. Turkey is building a licensing regime that foreign platforms cannot opt out of, and on 26 March 2026 the Capital Markets Board extended rather than fixed the deadlines for platforms on the transitional operating list to obtain authorisation certificates. Access for unlicensed offshore platforms is a live regulatory question, not a settled one.
