Bybit Referral Code September 2026: XGZW2J — What You Get
Bybit referral code XGZW2J goes into the Referral Code field while you create the account. Per Bybit's official Referral Program FAQ, updated 30 May 2026, the base reward is a 10 USDT bonus for you after a deposit of at least 100 USDT within seven days, with further task rewards on top. Every reward is a trading bonus, not withdrawable cash.
Paste it into the Referral Code field on the sign-up form. Bybit does not attach Referral Program codes to accounts that already exist — see the step-by-step below.
We may earn a commission if you open an account via our links. It does not change your fees.
What code XGZW2J actually gets you
Several separate tasks, not one lump sum. Bybit's live Referral Program page headlines the base reward as “Give $10, Get $10”, and the deposit task is the only one most new accounts ever complete. Everything below is credited as a bonus: usable as derivatives margin and to offset fees and losses, but not withdrawable in itself.
| Task | What you have to do | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit | Deposit ≥ 100 USDT (or equivalent) within 7 days of sign-up | 10 USDT bonus |
| Trade | Deposit task, plus ≥ 500 USDT spot or derivatives volume within 30 days | 15 USDT bonus |
| Advanced trade | Deposit task, plus ≥ 10,000 USDT volume within 30 days | Mystery Box worth up to 1,000 USDT ⚠ draw, not a fixed amount |
| Fiat deposit | Fiat deposit of ≥ $100 within 7 days | 7 USDT |
| Earn | Stake ≥ $100 in Flexible or Fixed Savings within 7 days | 3 USDT |
| Bybit Card | Apply for the card and spend 100 USDT or equivalent | 10 USDT |

The part most referral-code pages leave out
Four conditions decide whether the reward is worth anything to you, and all four come from Bybit's own documentation rather than from us:
- The bonus is not cash. It works as margin on Perpetual and Futures contracts — not on spot — and is deducted before your own funds. Profits made trading with it are withdrawable; the bonus itself never is.
- It expires. Rewards are claimed in the Rewards Hub and are available there for 30 days. Per the Rewards Hub FAQ, unused bonus is forfeited at its expiration date and expired bonuses are not reimbursed.
- There is a 14-day review. Bybit checks referee accounts for 14 days before rewards can be claimed, and asks that you do not withdraw tokens during that window.
- The pool is finite. Rewards come from a monthly pool of 500,000 USDT with a daily claim limit, distributed first-come, first-served with priority to higher trading volume. Completing a task earns you the right to claim, not a fixed payout.
How to apply the Bybit referral code (step by step)
Enter XGZW2J while the account is being created — that is the only moment Bybit will bind a Referral Program code to it. The whole process takes about two minutes; the deposit clock starts the day you register, not the day you first log in.
- Open the Bybit sign-up form (our button above passes the code through automatically).
- Enter your email or phone number and set a password.
- Open the Referral Code field — it is often collapsed behind a link labelled “Referral code (optional)” — and paste XGZW2J.
- Verify your email or phone, then complete identity verification if your region requires it before funding.
- Deposit at least 100 USDT within 7 days if you want the deposit task to count. Internal transfers from another Bybit account do not qualify.
- Track the tasks and claim what you have earned in the Rewards Hub within its 30-day window.
Where the code works — and where Bybit will not onboard you
A referral code only works where the exchange serves you. As of May 2026 Bybit restricts roughly 14 jurisdictions, including the United States, Canada, Singapore, the Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong, alongside sanctioned countries. In those places no code produces an account — the block happens before the reward logic.
- Full, dated list: Bybit restricted countries 2026.
- Blocked where you are? Compare Bitget's code and MEXC's code — different exchanges, different maps.
- EEA users are onboarded by Bybit EU, a separate MiCA-licensed entity. Its referral programme pays 25 EUR in BTC to each side after a deposit of at least 100 USDC within seven days and excludes residents of Malta. A code issued on the global platform may not carry across entities.
What we earn, and what it costs you
Transparency beats a disclaimer in 8px grey at the bottom. When you register with XGZW2J, Bybit pays us a share of the trading fees you generate — 20% at the base tier of its Referral Program, rising to 25% once you refer 5 qualified users in a quarter and 30% once you refer 100 or your referrals hit $15 million in quarterly derivatives volume. That commission comes out of the fees Bybit already charges under its published schedule.
What that means for you: the code does not raise your fees, and it does not lower them either. Anyone advertising a permanent fee discount with a referral code is describing an affiliate arrangement, not the standard Referral Program. Before funding anything, it is worth reading our security assessment of Bybit, including the February 2025 hack and how it was handled.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Bybit referral code XGZW2J valid in 2026?
Yes. XGZW2J is a live Bybit Referral Program code and there is no expiry on the code itself. What changes is the promotion behind it: Bybit's Referral Program FAQ was last updated on 30 May 2026 and its live referral page currently advertises a base reward of 10 USDT for you and 10 USDT for the inviter. Check the sign-up screen for the amount running on the day you register.
Can I add a Bybit referral code after registration?
No. Bybit's Referral Program FAQ answers the question directly: if the account was opened without the code, the user is not recognised as a referee. Bybit does allow an Affiliate or KOL invitation code to be added manually within 14 days of sign-up, but that same help article states that referral codes from ordinary Bybit users are not supported by the feature.
Is the Bybit welcome bonus withdrawable cash?
No. Bybit bonuses can be used as margin for derivatives trading, to offset trading and funding fees and to cover trading losses, and they are deducted before your own capital. The bonus itself cannot be withdrawn; profits you make trading with it can be. Bonuses also expire, and Bybit states that unused bonus is forfeited at the expiration date and is not refunded.
Do I have to deposit anything to get the referral reward?
Yes. The first task requires a cumulative deposit of at least 100 USDT, or the equivalent in any coin, within seven days of signing up. The 15 USDT trade task additionally requires at least 500 USDT of spot or derivatives volume within 30 days. Internal transfers from another Bybit account do not count as deposits.
What is the 1,720 USDT figure Bybit advertises?
It is a ceiling across every referral task combined, not a payout. It includes a Mystery Box worth up to 1,000 USDT that needs 10,000 USDT of trading volume within 30 days, plus copy-trading, card, fiat and Earn tasks. Rewards are also drawn from a monthly pool of 500,000 USDT with a daily claim limit, so a completed task is a claim opportunity rather than a fixed amount.
Does the code work if I live in the EEA?
Not as written. EEA users are onboarded by Bybit EU, a separate entity running its own referral programme: 25 EUR in BTC to each side after a deposit of at least 100 USDC within seven days, with residents of Malta excluded. A code issued on the global platform may not carry across to that entity, so read the sign-up form before you register.
Does using a referral code cost me anything?
No. Bybit pays the inviter a commission out of the trading fees you already owe under its standard fee schedule: 20% at the base tier, rising to 25% once you refer 5 qualified users in a quarter and 30% once you refer 100 or your referrals hit $15 million in quarterly derivatives volume. The code does not change your fee tier, and it does not add a charge on top. It also does not give you a fee discount by itself.
