Is KuCoin Available in Brazil? (2026)
Yes — Brazil is not named in Article 17(5) of KuCoin’s Terms of Use, last updated 29 July 2026, so Brazilian residents can register, verify and trade today. A deadline is coming, though: under the Central Bank framework in force since 2 February 2026, dealings with non-authorised providers are prohibited from 30 October 2026.
Is KuCoin available in Brazil right now?
Yes. We read the full text of KuCoin’s Terms of Use on 25 August 2026 and Brazil appears nowhere in it, Article 17(5) included. Brazilian residents can register, complete identity verification and trade spot, margin and futures on the global platform.
Article 17(5) is the only official list, and it is short: the United States and its territories, Singapore, mainland China and Hong Kong, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Ontario and British Columbia in Canada, France, the Netherlands, and five occupied regions of Ukraine. Sanctioned countries are not named at all — Article 17(6) handles them by screening instead.
What is not on offer is a Brazilian entity. Article 101 places every dealing under Turks and Caicos law regardless of where you are, which is a very different footing from a locally authorised platform.
The 30 October 2026 deadline that can change this
Brazil finished building its virtual-asset framework, and the clock is already running. Resolutions BCB No. 519, 520 and 521 completing the framework under Law No. 14,478/2022 took effect on 2 February 2026. Existing operators — domestic and foreign alike — must apply to the Banco Central do Brasil between 2 February and 29 October 2026, and from 30 October 2026 transactions with non-authorised providers are prohibited.
Foreign platforms that cannot show a significant Brazilian customer base as of 2 February 2026 must separately request authorisation to operate in Brazil, and that process can take up to two years. Whether KuCoin has applied is ⚠ Not confirmed — it publishes no Brazilian authorisation we could find.
What Brazilian users get, and what they hand over
A full product range, mandatory verification, and no Brazilian counterparty.
KYC is not optional here. Article 15 of the Terms requires your name, email, mobile number, nationality and ID number at registration, and KuCoin’s own referral programme terms are written around the day “a new user registers and completes KYC verification”. Article 38 lets KuCoin terminate an account whose verification was never completed if it goes unused for a year.
One practical detail if you use anyone’s referral link, ours included: per KuCoin’s published programme terms the referrer earns 25% of your trading fees from the day your KYC is approved to the end of that month, commissions run for 365 days after your registration and not for life, and they stop entirely once an invited user reaches VIP Lv. 3. The programme is also closed to residents of Belgium, France and the Netherlands.

How to get started on KuCoin from Brazil
Register, verify, fund deliberately, and keep an eye on the October date rather than discovering it later.
- Register with your real Brazilian details — Article 15 asks for nationality and ID number.
- Complete identity verification before depositing; Article 38 allows termination of unverified accounts left unused for a year.
- Fund with crypto you already hold, or check what BRL or Pix route is live on the day — a Brazilian fiat rail on the global platform is ⚠ Not confirmed.
- Test a small withdrawal early, so you know the route works before 30 October 2026 changes anything.
- Keep your own records — Brazilian tax reporting on crypto is your obligation, not an offshore exchange’s.

Frequently asked questions
Is KuCoin available in Brazil in 2026?
Yes. Brazil is not named in Article 17(5) of KuCoin’s Terms of Use, last updated 29 July 2026, and does not appear anywhere in the agreement. Brazilian residents can register, verify and trade on the global platform today.
What changes for Brazilian users on 30 October 2026?
From that date, transactions with non-authorised virtual-asset providers are prohibited under the Central Bank framework in force since 2 February 2026. Existing domestic and foreign operators had to apply for authorisation between 2 February and 29 October 2026.
Is KuCoin authorised by the Banco Central do Brasil?
We could not confirm any Brazilian authorisation for KuCoin, and it publishes none we could find. Foreign platforms that cannot show a significant Brazilian customer base as of 2 February 2026 must separately request authorisation, a process that can take up to two years.
Does KuCoin support Brazilian real deposits?
We could not confirm a live BRL or Pix deposit rail on the global platform in August 2026. Check the deposit screen inside your own account, and treat funding with crypto you already hold as the dependable route until you see otherwise.
Do I need KYC to use KuCoin in Brazil?
Yes. Article 15 requires name, email, mobile number, nationality and ID number at registration, and the referral terms run from the day identity verification is approved. Article 38 permits termination of an unverified account left unused for a year.
Whose law governs a KuCoin account in Brazil?
Turks and Caicos law. Article 101 states that all activities between you and the platform are deemed to take place in the Turks and Caicos Islands regardless of your physical location, so Brazilian consumer routes are not part of the contract.
