Is KuCoin Available in Turkey? (2026)
Yes — but not through the site most guides link to. Türkiye is not named in Article 17(5) of KuCoin’s global Terms of Use, yet Turkish users are served by KuCoin TR, a separate local platform at kucoin.tr; its operator is listed on the SPK register of operating platforms. Different entity, different sign-up, and global referral codes do not carry over.
Is KuCoin available in Turkey right now?
Yes, with an asterisk that matters. Searching KuCoin’s global Terms of Use on 25 August 2026 returns no mention of Türkiye — it is not a Restricted Location under Article 17(5). But KuCoin does not serve Turkish users from the global platform: it runs KuCoin TR at kucoin.tr, a separate Turkish-language site which states that it operates in full compliance with local regulation, naming SPK and MASAK, that it began operating in 2024, and that it appears on the SPK’s list of operating entities.
Article 17(5) is the only official list, and it is short: the United States and its territories, Singapore, mainland China and Hong Kong, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Ontario and British Columbia in Canada, France, the Netherlands, and five occupied regions of Ukraine. Sanctioned countries are not named at all — Article 17(6) handles them by screening instead.
KuCoin does the same thing in Thailand through kucoin.th. Two sites, two entities, one brand — and the sign-up form is where the difference becomes yours.
Why we do not put a KuCoin button on this page
Because our KuCoin link goes to the global platform, and for a Turkish resident that is probably the wrong entity. Sending you to an offshore sign-up when KuCoin itself directs Turkish users to an SPK-listed local platform would be the sort of thing that earns a commission and costs you a working account.
Two consequences worth knowing before you click anything. First, we could not confirm that a referral code issued on the global platform works on KuCoin TR ⚠ Not confirmed — they run as separate systems, so do not assume any code, ours included, applies there. Second, if you want the global product range instead, other venues do not restrict Türkiye at all, and that is what the buttons below point to.
What Turkey’s crypto law requires
A local permission. Law No. 7518, in force since 2 July 2024, brought crypto-asset service providers under the Capital Markets Board (SPK), with MASAK supervising anti-money-laundering compliance. The CMB’s Communiqué III-35/B.1 of 13 March 2025 set the operating principles, and in March 2026 the CMB extended its transitional authorisation deadlines.
That is the whole reason KuCoin TR exists as a separate site rather than a Turkish translation. Using an offshore platform is not the same as using a CMB-permitted one: no Turkish entity to complain to, no local supervision, and under Article 101 of the global Terms every dispute is deemed to happen in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
Türkiye at a glance: which entity serves you
Nobody in this table blocks Türkiye. The question is whether you end up on a locally registered platform or an offshore one.
| Exchange | Türkiye status | Which entity serves you |
|---|---|---|
| KuCoin | ⚠ Via KuCoin TR | KuCoin TR (kucoin.tr), states SPK and MASAK compliance |
| Bitget | ✓ Available | Global platform, Turkish-language onboarding |
| BloFin | ✓ Available | Offshore platform — no Turkish entity |
| Bybit | ⚠ Verify | Global platform; confirm current status |

How to choose, step by step, from Türkiye
Decide entity first, product second. A locally registered platform gives you a Turkish counterparty and a lira rail; an offshore one gives you range and leverage with no local recourse.
- If local supervision and a TRY rail matter most, start at kucoin.tr and check its entry on the SPK list yourself.
- If you want the global product range, use a venue that does not restrict Türkiye — and accept that it holds no CMB permission.
- Whichever you pick, verify identity before depositing; MASAK rules make that unavoidable on the local side.
- Do not assume any referral code crosses between global and local platforms — check on the sign-up screen.
- Keep your own records: Turkish tax and reporting obligations sit with you, not the exchange.

Frequently asked questions
Is KuCoin available in Turkey in 2026?
Yes, through KuCoin TR rather than the global site. Türkiye is not named in Article 17(5) of the global Terms of Use, but KuCoin serves Turkish users through kucoin.tr, a separate platform that states it operates under SPK and MASAK rules and has done so since 2024.
Is KuCoin TR the same as KuCoin?
Same brand, different platform. KuCoin TR is a separate Turkish site with its own sign-up, its own compliance statement naming SPK and MASAK, and its own account system. Check the domain and the company named in the footer before you deposit anywhere.
Does a KuCoin referral code work on KuCoin TR?
We could not confirm that codes issued on the global platform apply on KuCoin TR, and the two run as separate systems. Do not assume any code carries over, including ours — check what the sign-up screen accepts on the day you register.
Is crypto trading legal in Türkiye?
Trading is legal and now licensed. Law No. 7518 placed crypto-asset service providers under the Capital Markets Board from 2 July 2024, MASAK supervises anti-money-laundering compliance, and Communiqué III-35/B.1 of 13 March 2025 set the operating principles. Paying for goods with crypto remains prohibited.
Which global exchanges accept Turkish users?
Bitget does not name Türkiye on its prohibited list and runs Turkish-language onboarding; BloFin does not name it among the 43 Restricted Locations in clause 6.1 of its Terms. Neither holds a CMB permission we could confirm, so local recourse is absent.
What happens if I sign up on the wrong entity?
At best a duplicated verification; at worst an account you cannot fund or withdraw from with the rail you expected. Article 19 of the global Terms lets KuCoin suspend an account and refuse access to digital assets where an Article 17 undertaking turns out to be wrong.
